Dr. R. L. Davis was born in Caldwell, Idaho on March 24, 1953. He grew up on a small farm in Powell, Mo. (home of Albert E. Brumley) with his parents, Homer and Dolores Davis and one sister, Sandy. Dr. Davis has been married to Treby his wife for 31 years and is the father of three children, Stacie, Shawnel and Seth. Dr. Davis served in the armed forces for three years and was honorably discharged from the Military Police in 1976.
Dr. Davis was born again in 1977, called to preach later in 1978 and immediately began his theological studies while serving in the fivefold ministry. He attended: Crowder College; Ozark Bible Institute; the International Gospel Assemblies Institute; and finally the World Harvest Bible training Center ultimately receiving an earned Ph.D. in theology and Biblical studies.
Dr. Davis is an ordained minister of the Independent Assemblies of God International and the World Harvest Ministries International. He is a certified teacher through the Accrediting Commission International, the professor/chancellor of the Zion Word Theological Institute, and a contributing professor for World harvest Bible training Center located in Eagle River, Alaska.
For the past 26 years, he has served in the fivefold ministry gifts and the last seventeen years has operated in the prophetic/pastoral mode.
Dr. Davis has recently launched a television ministry on TBN Zambia 63 in Lusaka. It will begin airing in October of 2006.
Currently, Dr. Davis serves as the senior pastor for Zion Word Church and as an Apostle to Zambia South Africa.
