Two ordained ministers, Rev. Billy Sampson and Dr. Randy L. Davis of the Zion Word Ministries, International also known as the Zion Word Church of Anderson (for the past 12 years), will zoon travel to South Africa for a mission trip.

"This will be our second trip to the country and we will be there for 30 days," Davis said. "The purpose of this endeavor is to minister the scripture in the neglected fields of Africa."

The two local ministers will leave on July 5 and return in August. They will visit the towns of Lusaka; Ntatumbila; Musayni; Nteke; Kasama; Nakande and Kabwe Central Africa and South Africa. Davis went to South Africa in July 2004.

And there are other purposes to go. "We are going to instruct pastors in training, appoint elders, ordain ministers, establish more sister churches, baptize new believers, teach formal classes during the day and hold crusades during the night using an interpreter," Davis said.

There also are plans to start a TV-radio ministry in Zambia.

"There will be a revival held in the cities of Nakande and Kabwe, which have a populations of more then 2 million people," said Davis. "We are expecting more than 10,000 people each night. Some 30 churches will be helping the endeavor."

The local church will send literature, VCR/DVD teaching series for ministers only, PA equipment, Bibles, the Davis New Testament Commentary, books, tapes, tracts and various kinds of Christian literature to those who have not heard the gospel of Jesus Christ.

"Our ministry has currently ordained 20 pastors and to date, more than 450 souls have been saved," Davis said. "We have purchased land for headquarters and formally established the Zion Word Churches of Zambia.

According to Davis, many schools in Africa want the Gospel and usually they all repent and receive Christ Jesus as Savior and Lord when the message of grace is heard.

"One high school on the agenda has more than 1,000 students," Davis added. "Many also receive the Spirit, with demons cast out as well."

When Davis was there in 2004, he noticed that the people were very receptive and the children were very happy for them (ministers) to be there.

"The Lord Jesus Christ has opened the door for mass evangelism in an Apostolic way for the Zion Word Ministries in many different aspects of ministry styles," Davis said. "Yes, we are commanded to 'Go into all the world and preach the Gospel,' that has not changed. With the Lord's help, we will do just exactly that."
